At Plumbing & Heating Centre, we were proud to support the development of new amenities at Lake Waikere and Pine Beach Campground, helping improve the site’s functionality and visitor experience. This project focused on delivering essential infrastructure for both everyday use and camper convenience, with a strong emphasis on durability and environmental compliance.
Our team installed a Caravan Association-approved dump station at Pine Beach complete with signage, providing a safe and hygienic solution for camper waste disposal. This included a 25,000L Concrete water tank, along with a GDOF-36 Green Dome Odour Filter to manage waste odours effectively.
In addition, we constructed a brand-new toilet block at Lake Waikere, including the installation of a 4,500L single concrete septic tank and biofilter system. The project involved full digger work and the laying of a concrete footpath, ensuring easy access and a clean, finished look.
This installation ensures the public spaces at the Kai Iwi Lakes are equipped to handle increased visitor numbers, especially during summer time, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and environmental care. With robust components and thoughtful planning, the site is now better prepared to serve both locals and travelers.
