This rope is fitted snug into the door frame (steel retainer) on a woodfire to create a tight seal and prevent excess airflow into the heater. Over time, factory fitted rope can wear down, rip or even fall out, which reduces the efficiency of your fireplace. Restore the efficiency by updating your door seals as required.
